I recently did a outdoor, fashion style, shoot with model Jo Fry.
The location was a abandoned barn that is actually just a few yards from my house.
The inspiration for the shoot was from ‘American Apparel’ – I love the style of the photographs on their new ad campaign.
I love doing outdoor fashion shoots, but unfortunately this year the weather really hasn’t been on our side…
Also just a quick note that I’ve updated my portfolio on my website at www.carlbeebee.com

The View – 2012 – Taken on iPhone
One of the biggest problems I’ve always had with my website, is settling on a way to organise my online galleries. Recently I’ve had a page with links to different galleries; portraits, conceptual, places, polaroids etc. but I found that all a bit tiresome… It can also be difficult when you have a image that could fit into more than one category – where do you put it then? Just in one or in both galleries?
I’ve spent the last few hours taking lots of photographs down (and adding a few new ones) and I’ve “bundled” them all into one gallery. At the moment I like it and it seems to be easier, but I’ll likely change my mind soon.
Please check it out if you get a chance here: www.carlbeebee.com
What do you find the best way for organising your online galleries?
Those that have been reading my blog for a while know that I have a bit of a love, hate relationship with Instagram.
Just recently however, I’ve tried to use it a little more purposefully, and I have to say I’m really enjoying it.
I only upload images that have actually been taken on the iPhone but I do try and mix things up a little bit by uploading “proper” photographs (portraits, places etc.) as well as shooting some behind the scenes images from photo shoots along with just completely random photos (see above).

I had a shoot last week with Roseanne – we did some editorial shots as well as some general portraiture.
The editorial shots are part of the ‘Fatale’ series that I have been working on in recent weeks.
The series depicts, strong, powerful and sexy women in a “noir” like environment…
We spent a hour or so working on some regular portrait work – the one below is one of my favourites thus far…
I had a shoot a couple of weeks ago with Jo Fry – a model from Herefordshire. I’ve not edited all of the shots just yet, but here’s a couple I have edited…
